Town Police Log: Man Ran Over Woman's Foot

Southampton Town police reports for east of the Shinnecock Canal from Feb. 13 to Feb. 19.
Assault
• James K. White, 51, of Southampton, was arrested Feb. 16 at 1:40 p.m. and charged with petty larceny and assault in the third degree, both misdemeanors. Police said White was involved in an argument Feb. 14 on Highlands Drive in Noyac with a woman and he took her cellphone and ran over her foot as he was backing out of a driveway. He turned himself in at police headquarters, police said.

Criminal Contempt
• Richard H. Thomas, 45, of Shirley, was arrested Feb. 15 at 7:30 a.m. on Montauk Highway in Southampton and charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, a misdemeanor. Police said Thomas violated an order of protection.
