Town Police Log: Man Charged With Felony; Vehicle Impounded

The following information was supplied by the Southampton Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate convictions.

 

Southampton Town police arrest reports for east of the Shinnecock Canal for Jan. 30 to Feb. 6:

Felony Unlicensed Driving

• Raul R. Roldan, 32, of Far Rockaway, was arrested Jan. 31 at 1:06 a.m. in Southampton near the County Road 39 and Hill Station Road intersection and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree, a felony, as well as driving without a license, failure to keep right and moving from lane unsafely, all traffic infractions. Police said Roldan was pulled over after he failed to stay in his lane and was found to have multiple license suspensions among multiple New York State IDs. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.

DWI

• Racheal Alyse Feldman, 33, of Bridgehampton, was arrested Feb. 5 at 2:47 a.m. at the Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike and Lumber Lane intersection and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, and moving from lane unsafely, a traffic infraction. Police said Feldman was pulled over after she failed to stay in her lane of travel and was found to be intoxicated.

Petty Larceny

• Gary J. Vigilant, 46, of Southampton, was arrested Jan. 29 at 12:50 p.m. at Kmart at the Bridgehampton Commons and charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. According to the incident report, a loss prevention officer at Kmart saw Vigilant take off his boots, stash them in a shoe box, put on a new pair of $29.99 boots and walk out of the store without paying for them. He was stopped by the loss prevention officer then turned over to police, the arrest report states. Vigilant was processed at the police substation at the Commons then released on an appearance ticket with a Feb. 22 court date.
