Town Police Log: Fuel Reported Stolen from Pool Company

Southampton police reports from May 9 to May 16.

• Police were called to in Southampton Friday after the owner of the business found that someone had broken onto the property and stole 100 gallons of diesel fuel from a 2005 Chevrolet pick-up truck, according to an incident report.  The fuel is valued at $450.

• A Southampton Hills resident called police on Saturday to report that someone had taken exterior house lights, valued at $450, from his home.

• On Tuesday, police were called to Montauk Highway in Bridgehampton where a Moriches woman reported that someone struck her car while she was pumping gas at the Gulf station. She told police that the person who struck her car fled the scene.

• A Northampton resident called police Thursday to report that someone had stolen lawn ornaments from her home on Wildwood Trail. Among the things taken are a solar yard light and a Buddha lawn statue, according to the incident report.

• A Kenwood Road resident called police Wednesday to report a burglary. The homeowner told police that someone entered his home through a basement window and took jewelry and $50 in change.
