Strangulation Charge for Construction Worker

Police said Shawn Noto choked a co-worker at the new Parrish Art Museum construction site until he passed out.

A worker at the construction site for the is facing a felony strangulation charge after putting a co-worker in a headlock for so long he passed out, according to police.

said Shawn Noto, 31, of Mastic Beach got into an argument with his co-worker and it escalated into a physical fight. He was arrested Tuesday at police headquarters in Hampton Bays following an investigation.

Noto was charged with second-degree strangulation, a felony, and assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor. He was arraigned Tuesday and released on his own recognizance.
