Police: North Sea Home Used for Sex, Partying

Owner says no one had permission to enter.

At least two people broke into a house in North Sea — or at least that’s what the owner figured when he saw the evidence, used condoms.

A 47-year-old man from Manhattan arrived at his house on Bridies Path Aug. 24 and found a few used condoms on the floor. The man had last been at the summer house Aug. 21.

He also told police it looked like the lovemaking duo had thrown a party: $170 worth of wine, champagne and food were missing from the refrigerator. The entire house was in disarray, as well.

It appeared, though, that whoever partied in the house came in through the front door without forcing entry, possibly with a key. But, the Manhattan man said no one had permission to visit his home.

Southampton Town police responded to the scene to collect evidence and fingerprints.

The pair could face charges of second-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief, both felonies, and second-degree trespassing, a misdemeanor.

Police are actively investigating the case.
