All week, the forecast for Saturday in Southampton Village was bleak, with rain expected much of the day. But as the day come closer, the forecast became more and more favorable, a boon for Southampton Historical Museum's annual Harvest Day and Southampton SeptemberFest.

Held on the Rogers Mansion grounds, Harvest Day celebrates the coming of fall, and Southampton's rich history. There was a petting zoo with sheep, a pig and an angora rabbit, and a goat shearing demonstrations, a Civil War encampment and Shinnecock Indian dancing, among other sights and activities for children and adults alike.

Come back Monday for photos from SeptemberFest and video from Harvest Day.
