Pedestrian Struck on Route 27 on Friday Morning, Hospitalized

No charges made; male sent to Southampton Hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

A male pedestrian was struck by a car on Friday morning as it eastbound on Route 27 in Shinnecock Hills.

According to Southampton Police, the incident occurred around 7:50 a.m.at the intersection of Shrubland Road and the busy road.

The struck individual was transported to Southampton Hospital by Southampton Volunteer Ambulance and treated for non life-threatening injuries.
