Oct. 4: Check Out Current Events, Art, History

There are meetings to attend and exhibitions to see for all interests.

On Tuesday, you can sit in on board meetings and you can catch art exhibitions in Southampton Village. Check out Tuesday's Five:

The exhibition "" is on display at the 's between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. David Bunn Martine, director of the , has curated a show depicting this long period in Southampton history that includes the Shinnecock teaching English pioneers, beginning in 1640, how to hunt whales, harvest native plants and trap game.

5. 's inaugural is open from noon to 4 p.m.Forty artists were chosen by , the director and chief curator at Guild Hall. Best in Show was awarded to Sheila Isham. Beryl Bernay, Fulvio Massi and Jeanette Marton recieved honorable mentions.
